Blacksmiths, metalworkers display work at Forge Day
PICAYUNE, Miss. -- Area blacksmiths and metalworkers will demonstrate their skills during the annual Forge Day at the Mississippi State University Crosby Arboretum.
The event is set for Jan. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Picayune.
Attendees can watch exhibitors perform their crafts, browse craftsmen’s items for sale and get tips on how to begin blacksmithing or metalworking. Some craftsmen will allow festival goers to try their hands at the forge. A signed waiver form is required before participation.
Admission is free for arboretum members, $5 for nonmembers and $2 for nonmembers’ children under age 12.
