Field day helps students study natural science
PICAYUNE, Miss. -- Teachers who want to provide hands-on learning about nature can bring students to a March 29 field day at the Mississippi State University Crosby Arboretum in Picayune.
The Nature Discovery Day is open to students in kindergarten through 12th grade, including homeschool groups. Attendees can participate in several presentations and exhibits with live animals, along with other interactive opportunities. Students can explore the arboretum grounds during guided botanical walks, hands-on presentations and letterboxing activities.
Groups must call to schedule an arrival time by March 27. Admission is $2 per student and free for teachers and chaperones.
