MSU Turf Research/Extension Field Day (8-9-2010)

A Turf Management Learning Opportunity

The 2010 MSU Turf Research Field Day will be held Tuesday August 24th at the R.R. Foil Plant Science Research Center (North Farm, which is just east of the main campus off Hwy. 182).

In addition to guided discussions of ongoing turfgrass research there will be industry booths exhibiting turf equipment, fertilizers, chemicals, irrigation supplies, etc. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in various mini workshops such as sprayer calibration, weed ID and management, lawn insect ID and control, and receive literature on the selection and management of turfgrasses.

The field day is open to anyone with an interest in turf management including golf course superintendents, sports turf managers, sod producers, lawn care operators and homeowners.

Registration - $25
Begins at 8:00 a.m. with tours starting at 9:00 a.m.

Preregistration - $20
Through August 20. Forms can be downloaded from www.msturfassociation.org or call 662-325-0517.

Registration includes lunch, a logo T-shirt, and all activities. This event will be held rain or shine.
