Becoming a Millionaire: Career and College Readiness Skills for Youth

This program provides youth with decision-making skills for investigating careers and college.

Target Audience(s):

Middle-grade students (6th - 9th grades)

Objectives:

Participants will:

  • Learn about educational and professional requirements for various careers,
  • Improve self-efficacy and agency in one’s path to success,
  • Learn the benefits and costs of postsecondary education and how to prepare to attend college,
  • Learn critical thinking and digital literacy skills, emotional intelligence, and resource management, and
  • Learn about the current and future occupational needs in Mississippi.
