Summary:
This effort will help youth develop an appreciation of the scientific method through hands-on experiments and a day camp.
Target Audience(s):
Youth with interest in plants, soil, insects, or scientific research
Objectives:
Participants will increase their:
- Understanding of basic agronomy concepts,
- Understanding of the scientific method,
- Critical thinking skills through an at-home experiment project,
- Knowledge of career opportunities within agricultural sciences, and
- Knowledge of technology use and changes in agriculture.
