Cooking Matters for Adults
Cooking Matters for Adults is a hands-on course that will empower adults with the skills to be self-sufficient in the kitchen.
Target Audience(s):
Limited-resource parents and caregivers of children ages 0 to 5
Objectives:
Participants will:
- Learn how to stretch their food budgets,
- Learn how to prepare healthy meals so their children get nutritious food at home, and
- Demonstrate fundamental food preparation skills, including proper knife techniques, reading ingredient labels, using different forms of fruits and vegetables, and making a healthy meal for a family of four on a $10 budget.
